I imagine “way” appears there so much because of the cycling as well, but when I saw it so prominently I have to admit I giggled at the thought of you as a, like, way real Californian, way?

Yes, I’m way Californian. :) I’m not really sure, but some of it looks to be from cycling stuff and I think some is just that I use the word “way” a lot because I talk about different ways to go (on bike or transit or whatever) or different ways of doing things.
