I really like the idea, because I want to keep trying new experiences. The link above is to the original guy who thought of it. The criteria are:

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

I have no idea if I’ll be able to manage all these, but I’ll definitely be trying. My 1001 days goes from yesterday (when I made the list) until Nov. 9, 2009. When a task is complete, I’ll strike it out on the list and note the completion date, and most likely post about it.

If you know a lot about any of the subjects or activities listed and would be willing to help me out or do them with me, comment below. A few things are partly redacted to avoid giving personal info about others.

Current progress:
As of Nov 10 2008, it’s been 636 days since I started (a little under 1 year 9 months) and I’ve completed 28 goals and made progress on 7 others for a total of 31.3 goals. I decided to rescale 11 goals for feasibility and just completely cross off 4 others, on the assumption that I’ll continue to explore interesting new stuff outside the 101. Jun 25 I am also busy with some big priorities which were not on the 101 specifically, so that will delay some as well. I’m still well behind overall but not feeling too bothered about it. I hope to catch up a little later this year though!

Cooking/Food
1.
